Since 1987, VS&A Communications Partners, LP has managed three private equity funds with 21 portfolio companies in the media, communications, and information industries. Veronis Suhler's third private equity fund, VS&A Communications Partners III, LP, capitalized at $1 billion, is the largest private equity fund devoted exclusively to investments in the media, communications, and information industries. Few private equity firms specialize in communications; fewer still cover as many industry segments as VS&A Communications Partners, including radio, television, cable, wireless communications towers, publishing, trade shows, database information, education and training, advertising and marketing, the Internet, and entertainment. This broad coverage reduces investment risks through diversification. Endowments, domestic and international corporations and their pension funds, and government-sponsored pension funds provide capital for these funds.
