Veronis Suhler Stevenson, a merchant bank dedicated to the media, communication and information industries, is looking for a talented and highly motivated Associate to join our team. VSS offers clients a unique skill set, combining the knowledge and experience of media and communications industry executives and financial transaction professionals drawn from the ranks of the top media companies and finance firms in the country. This individual will work primarily on M&A advisory and other investment banking transactions.

Required Qualifications Include:

• BA/BS degree. Additionally an MBA degree is preferred. Outstanding academic record.

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in commercial or investment banking or comparable financial environment

• Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions or Leveraged/High Yield Lending preferred

• Experience as part of a Media Industry-focused team or group

• Relevant experience in the media industry will also be considered

• Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance and valuation concepts

• Strong analytical and modeling skills (LBO, DCF, P&L forecasting) in Excel

• Excellent writing and communications skills

• Solid Powerpoint skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Highly motivated team player, able to work well under pressure
