Hanley-Wood Integrated Marketing Wins "Best Biotechnology Site" WebAward
|
MINNEAPOLIS, OCTOBER 3, 2002 ; Hanley-Wood Integrated Marketing (HWIM) was honored this week with a Best-of-Industry WebAward for whybiotech.com, developed for the Council for Biotechnology Information (CBI). The site was named "Best Biotechnology Site" in the 2002 competition, sponsored by the Web Marketing Association (WMA).
WebAward entries were judged first against a Web standard of excellence as established by the WMA, and then against peer sites in its category. Judging criteria included design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, navigation and ease-of-use.
"Biotechnology is a fascinating, complex subject," says Grant Moos, HWIM content director, who provided the content and functionality vision for whybiotech.com. "The challenge was to make the information engaging, while at the same time authoritative and credible." Achieving an accessible, balanced approach to the site design was equally critical, adds HWIM interactive services director Robert Koski. "With whybiotech.com, we successfully created an appealing, friendly environment for the content, presented with clear audience segmentation," Koski says.
HWIM's involvement with whybiotech.com began in 2002 with a full redesign, re-engineering and edit of the site, with the goal of making whybiotech.com the premier site for credible, fact-based information about plant biotechnology.
