(RealTimeTraders.com) - Thursday morning, financial news providers, Thomson Financial, of the Thomson Corp. (TOC), and Wachovia Securities, LLC, of Wachovia Corp. (WB), revealed entering a contract to develop a new, front to back office integrated solution for Wachovia Securities financial advisors. The financial terms of the contract were not divulged.

Thomson Financial said that Thomson ONE will be installed on more than 19,000 desktops and Thomson Beta Systems will manage the trade processing for Wachovia Securities, which includes the integration of trade processing activities and the conversion of 6,000 desktops from the former Prudential Securities.

Wachovia Securities financial advisors will gain advantage from the market data, news and portfolio management tools accessible through Thomson current product offerings, along with customer and transaction management capabilities from Thomson BETA Systems through a fully integrated Thomson order and customer management desktop.

TOC ended Wednesday’s trading at $30.94, up by 23 cents, while WB closed at $48.10, gaining 45 cents.
