Wabash Technologies Corporation Engages Harte-Hanks to Provide Tech-Driven Logistics Solution

Harte-Hanks, Inc. (NYSE: HHS), a worldwide, direct and targeted marketing company, has implemented and manages a complete technology-based logistics solution for Wabash Technologies, a Huntington, IN-based automotive industry supplier.

The program includes the online procurement of all modes of freight transportation, using a custom designed Order Entry System that provides global visibility of all logistics and transportation. In addition, the solution includes the design and implementation of a comprehensive vendor routing system -- and an electronic interface between Wabash Technologies and its vendors. Together, with manifest invoicing and payment, the logistics team at Harte-Hanks has helped Wabash achieve more than a 20-percent savings in transportation charges during the first three months of the program alone.

Monthly management reports track progress and savings. Harte-Hanks is using the Internet-based system to host, coordinate and manage load tendering, pick-up and delivery for Wabash Technologies and its vendors. Harte-Hanks is also providing the tools to support and help generate future freight savings opportunities by supplying vendor non-compliance reports that alert Wabash to any suppliers who do not meet the company's delivery/shipping requirements. Additional savings are made possible by the consolidation of inbound freight.
