"The EAA Convention Grounds were over-flowing for the fifth consecutive year at the three-day Festival, where enthusiasts were able to see the latest outdoor sporting gear."

The Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival, presented by Suzuki, is made up of nine unique sporting venues including: the Dodge Shooting Sports Village, archery, fishing, biking and camping, conservation, off-road/4x4, ATV and the Nissan Hunting Dog Village. People visited hundreds of sporting-goods manufacturers and were educated by conservation experts and enjoyed demonstrations by famous archer Byron Ferguson exhibition shooter Tom Knapp and the Cowboy Action Shooters of the Single Action Shooters Society (SASS).

"Along with the 250 manufacturers and exhibitors, the 956 volunteers helped make the Festival the success it was," said Dana Barton, Ducks Unlimited Special Events Manager.

Wildlife conservation and habitat preservation were dominant themes throughout the Festival. Ducks Unlimited's association with the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), brought mobility impaired people to special areas at the archery, shooting, ATV and conservation villages.

Project Child Safe, a program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), in conjunction with Ducks Unlimited and PRIMEDIA, distributed thousands of free gun locking devices and safety literature.

The Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival offers a hands-on outdoor experience for all ages. Festival-goers can test a variety of outdoor sporting products in real-world conditions, receive coaching from skilled professionals and get answers direct from factory representatives.
