Tribune Reports 2.8% Rise In July Publishing Revenues; Consolidated Revenues Up 3.5% - Update
(RealTimeTraders.com) - Before the opening bell Tuesday, Tribune Co. (TRB), a media and entertainment company, reported a 3.5% increase in consolidated revenues for period 7 ended August 3.
The company reported a consolidated revenue for the month of July of $508 million, 3.5% more than $491 million reported for the same period last year.
Publishing revenues increased by 2.8% during July to $356 million from $346 million reported last year while Broadcasting and Entertainment revenue rose 5.3% to $152 million from $145 million reported last year.
Year-to-date, consolidated revenues reported a 4.6% rise to $3.2 billion from $3.1 billion during the corresponding period last year. Publishing revenues reported a 2.7% rise to $2.34 billion from $2.28 billion while Broadcasting and Entertainment revenue rose 9.8% to 904.8 million from $823.9 million during the corresponding period last year.
On Monday, the stock closed at $46.70.
