(RealTimeTraders.com) - Wednesday afternoon, newspaper publisher, The McClatchy Company (MNI) reported improved consolidated advertising revenues and total revenues for July.

The company reported total advertising revenues for July of $81.48 million, 3.1% up from the $79.00 million reported for July last year. Total revenues for the month were $99.05 million, up 2.3% from the $96.83 million posted for July last year.

Year-to-date, McClatchy reported total advertising revenues of $521.44 million, 3.4% higher than the $504.28 million reported for the same period last year. Year-to-date total sales were $633.31 million, 2.5% higher than the $617.94 million posted for the year-ago period.

McClatchy is currently up 30 cents at $56.70.
