(RealTimeTraders.com) - Thomas Nelson, Inc. (TNM) said on Wednesday, it released fiscal 2004 first quarter results, reporting growth in both revenues and earnings.

The Nashville-based company said net income came in at $1.1 million, or $0.07 a share, as against $0.3 million, or $0.02 a share for the previous year. Quarterly revenues for the book publisher and distributor were $41.8 million, up 1.5%, from $41.8 million posted in the previous year quarter.

TNM shares closed Tuesday at $12.00.
