Suncoast, World Wrestling Entertainment and Weekly Reader Team Up To Encourage Reading; Reading Posters Distributed in DVDs and Weekly Reader Publications

Business Editors

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 11, 2003--Suncoast, The Store for Movie Lovers, is teaming with World Wrestling Entertainment(TM) and Weekly Reader in a promotion to encourage reading.

All August 12 releases of WWE DVDs "Insurrection(TM)", "Bad Blood(TM)", and "Brock Lesnar: Here Comes The Pain" sold at Suncoast video stores will include a free WWE Get R.E.A.L.(TM) reading poster featuring WWE RAW(R) Superstar The Hurricane(R). The Hurricane, a "super hero", is seen on the poster giving thumbs up over the phrase, "Get excited about reading. It can give you super powers!"

Weekly Reader will distribute the poster free to 98,000 classrooms across the country through publications for middle and high school students. WWE also will offer the poster free to teachers and librarians through its website, getreal.wwe.com.

The promotion was prompted by the success of WWE's Get R.E.A.L. READ program that sends WWE Superstars to public libraries across the country to read to kids during the summer.

"We like combining our pro-social programs with our marketing promotions whenever it makes sense to do so," said Joel Satin, WWE Director, Home Video. "Watching videos and DVDs has becomes a part of everyday life. We hope that this type of promotion instills that reading is something fun to do as well."

"Weekly Reader is thrilled to be working with WWE and Suncoast. The WWE wrestlers are admired by many students nationwide. Their participation will hopefully inspire hundreds of children to pick up a book and read. Last year was a great success and we're confident this year will be an engaging and successful reading campaign again," said Bill Walter, Director of Strategic Partnerships for Weekly Reader.

"At Suncoast, we focus not only on serving customers in our stores, but also serving the communities in which we work and live. This partnership enables us to do both," said Debra Brummer, General Manager, Suncoast.
