R. Trent Hickman is a Director of VSS Fund Management. His responsibilities include arranging debt financing for portfolio investments, conducting due diligence, developing investment opportunities, legal documentation, structuring investments and monitoring portfolio companies. He was actively involved in the acquisitions of Hanley-Wood, PBI Media, and PEPcom. Mr.
Hickman is a member of the Board of Managers of PBI Media. Prior to
attending business school, Mr. Hickman was an Analyst and Associate in the Media & Entertainment Investment Banking Group of First Union Securities.

Mr. Hickman earned an AB in History and French Literature from Duke
University and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University
of Pennsylvania.
