Christopher J. Russell is responsible for originating, developing, structuring, and monitoring U.S. and international investment opportunities. Since joining VSS in 1994, Mr. Russell has been active in merger and acquisition advisory, corporate finance, and private equity investments across all targeted Media segments. He played a key role in Fund III's investments in Hanley Wood, ITE Group, and Xtreme Information and currently serves on the Board of Directors of each. Mr. Russell helped establish the Firm's London office in 2000 in order to accelerate European investment activity, and is now based in New York. Prior to becoming a Managing Director, Mr. Russell was a Director in both the firm's Equity Funds and the investment bank and was also the firm's Director of Research. Previously, he worked in various corporate positions at NBC Television.

Mr. Russell earned a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
