Michael B. Kessler participated in the acquisition of CenterPoint Data and serves on its board of directors. Mr. Kessler specializes in the business information services sector, which in recent years has become a key focus for VSS both in its investment banking transactions as well as its private equity investments. Joining the firm in 2003, Mr. Kessler has over 16 years of experience in investment banking, most recently as a senior member of CIBC World Markets' Enterprise Software and eBusiness Services group, where he primarily focused on business services and software-related transactions. He has executed over 30 transactions raising an aggregate of over $2.8 billion, and closed 20 mergers and acquisitions transactions aggregating over $1.8 billion in value. Prior to CIBC, Michael was a Managing Director at Oppenheimer & Co. (acquired by CIBC in 1997), where he served as a senior member of the media and business services group and was responsible for originating, structuring and distributing private placements of debt, equity and mezzanine structures.

Michael has an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
