Gene F. Jankowski focuses his activities on television broadcasting, filmed entertainment, radio broadcasting, and subscription video services. In 1994, Mr. Jankowski joined VSS after a 28-year career at CBS. In 1970 he was appointed General Sales Manager of WCBS-TV, the CBS flagship station in New York. He then became Vice President of Sales for the nationwide CBS Television stations division and was later named Vice President and Controller for CBS Inc. In 1977, Mr. Jankowski became President and Chairman of the CBS Broadcasting Group, a position he held for 12 years until 1989, when he left CBS to form his own company.
Mr. Jankowski graduated from Canisius College and Michigan State University with a Master's degree in radio, television, and film, and an honorary doctorate of humanities from Michigan State University. He is the co-author of "Reflections on Television".
