David F. Bainbridge specializes in professional and educational publishing, business information services, sponsor coverage for sell-side and mezzanine debt investments, and private equity co-investment opportunities.

Mr. Bainbridge joined VSS in October 2003, having spent the previous ten years as an investment banking professional, most recently with Berkery Noyes where he was a Managing Director, specializing in various institutional publishing and information segments. In the mid 1990's he worked with Scott-Macon, a New York based M&A boutique, as a Vice President in the Media, Communications and Publishing Group. In 2000 he returned to school to get his MBA at NYU. Some of the transactions that he has participated in during the past few years include the sale of Novartis Medical Education Group to MediMedia, the acquisition of both Parthenon Publishing and Transcender Corp. by Information Holdings, Inc., the acquisition of Educational Design by Haights Cross Communications, and the purchase of Wave Technologies by Thomson Corp.

Mr. Bainbridge is a graduate of Cornell and an honors graduate of the Stern School of Business at NYU.
